Hello community I am trying to set up a 22hr day light and lose 2hr per a 24hr day. 12 hrs lights on and 10 hrs lights off. Start next day. I have the irrigation and automation hat. All my sensor are connecting and working. I’m having a problem with the time trigger. It will turn on run but it will not turn off. Or cycle back to start again. I have read thru the whole forum and tried every combination but to no avail. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much

Just an update: I got co2 sensor to work with ease once I found out the min and max value of sensor. Thanks again
Hello,
This sensor looks promising, from interface point of view it is compatible with the automation Hat analog interface.
Never tested so I can't tell more, but according to the specs should work.
I was really hoping we could find a solution for this time cycle. I will keep trying to figure it out if possible. I also had a question about co2 enrichment. I wonder if a co2 sensor could be added to work with your program?
Hello,
Well, it seems I was too optimistic in the previous answer. As the system reset the Timetrigger counter at midnight every day, it is not possible to start a cycle which is not in phase with the 24h of the day.
Below the result of the test for 4h cycle. You can see It resets at midnight, then as the 4 hour can divide the 24h, the subsequent period after the first midnight where perfectly in synch:
So the complete cycle is 22 hours, it starts with 12 hrs of light ON and follow 10 hrs light OFF.
Maybe we can use timetrigger to set this up, not so sure it will work as I created this function for a little different usage.
This is the idea:
- set the timetrigger cycle to be 22hrs (this is in hardwaresetting)
- set the Actuator output to be 12 hours = 43200 seconds (this is in automation)
For the first point just go to the hardwaresetting page, find the timetrigger row and in the time field input this string "12:00:00".
Then go to automation page, and set the trigger as follow:
Change the 3600 with the 43200.
I have configured it in my test system, with 4 hrs cycle and 1 hrs ON / 3 hrs OFF.
I'll update the post maybe tomorrow to see if it works.
Hello,
If understand correctly you want to get a 12 hrs light on and 10 hrs light off for each day. What time do you need to start the light on?
