Hello :) Congratulations for the project and thank you for sharing it. I am just starting with this so excuse my maybe naive questions.
1) I downloaded the image and I mounted to rootfs3
i) Can I go about and modify the python files to my liking? Then I need to create again the image?
rootfs3/home/pi/env/autonom Here is where the back end basically resides?
ii) I see the project in github has only pdf and readme files. No github fork is available?
2) Could be this applicable to hydroponic and aeroponic or solely to grow with soil?
Thank you :) Hope you guys in Italy are alright.
Cheers
Thank you for all the advice. I will share more once I have something going. Need to study botany and about the circuits as well. Have a great one! Cheers BeLee
Excellent many thanks. I was looking at this: https://github.com/RodolfoAndrade/hydrosys
My implementation idea is to make a column that shower internally the roots (aeroponic) and it's also indoor.
I reckon that I need to put some cotton and the humidity sensor inside. Then I want to use a 300+Watt LED so I can't power that with the RPi. I need to use an additional HAT? I am guessing it's fairly dangerous, given I have no electrical engineering education.
Of course I need the other components as well, pump, temperature etc..
I really appreciate your prompt reply and your decision to go open source.
Cheers
BeLee
Hello,
Here my comments:
1.i) Yes, you can modify the files. No you are not required to make a new image.
1.ii) The Github folder includes all the files and source code: https://github.com/Hydrosys4/Master
2) well, the software can be used as general purpose control system. Anyway I know just the basic principles of hydroponics, I never implemented it so cannot give advises.
In case you want to share more details of your implementation ideas, I'll be happy to discuss about it.
Regards,
Angelo
