I bought 5 capacitive moisture sensors. They came with about an 8" connector wire.

I'm wondering how long you can go from the Pi Irrigation Hat to the moisture sensor? Could I use 5 feet? 10 feet? More? Or is that too much of a voltage drop or maybe EMI causing trouble?

I could use the ESP8266 or similar, but wire is cheaper and quicker.

I'd probably use Cat5 Ethernet cable.
