Sparkfun Pi-Plate

Good Day All

I have ordered 2 weeks ago the Pi-plates boards from Sparkfun to start tickering on a garden system and i have found this amazing system Hydrosys4. Kudo to all the hardwork and the sharing with the community.

My question is: Does it need a lot of modifications to work with this system or simply will it work.

Hi There,

Unfortunately the answer is that these boards are compatible with their libraries. I had a look at the specs, they use a specific chip and library. Even the relay board does not use directly the GPIO pins but it act as a multiplexer using the microchip inside the board which has a dedicated set of instructions.

I would say that this is quite normal because each microchip has its own interface and instructions. And yes, it will require a lot of modifications to the code to integrate them.
