Ciao,
I have just finished updating to version 1.0 (2019-06-05).
Allowing setting plans via minutes:seconds is great and the time selection is very convenient - thanks a lot for your ongoing commitment, time and effort!
I have updated github with one issue (use of underscore) but I now realize I have another weird issue:
The WateringPlan of solenoid #1 is being ignored. I can test it in Settings and it operates correctly, but the automatic plan doesn't work.
It's connected to GPIO5 and called Grass, the first cycle everyday at 4:00.
I added a second test cycle today at 12:40 to test the schedule and it didn't actuate the solenoid either.
This also happened with the previous version I used.
Please let me know if you need further information or a log file to recommend a solution.
Grazie mille,
Gary.
Yes, should be on the Google drive folder by now. Buona giornata!
Thanks for the update, at this point we definitely restricted the areas of the issue to the configuration file of the wateringplan. I think that the name change plus the underscore might have in some way corrupted the config file. In new release I fixed the underscore and made more robust the name change procedure. Plan to upload the new release 1.05a tonight.
Regarding the first question, indeed there is a way to keep the configuration, but unfortunately as in this new release I'm adding new functionalities so it is better to configure it from scratch. Maybe in future releases I'll add the Download/Upload configuration (now added to todo list).
Regarding the wiring, to understand the GPIO port that is connected the irrigation line e.g. "water6" you can go to "hardwaresetting" page and check the table in the row relevant to "water6", in the PIN field there is the GPIO number.
Just an additional note, the "data" page includes all the logs of the irrigation in graphical way, checking the "actuator chart" you will see a point with the time stamp and value corresponding to the number of seconds the signal was ON. This chart provide indication that the SW have started the activation. If you see the activation in the chart but no real irrigation happen, then probably it is a hardware issue. You can double check the grass line was ON in the "Data" page inside the actuator chart.
Last bit of info, I'm making some PCB boards to eliminate the wiring and make the system more reliable from HW connections point of view, hopefully in one or two months they will be ready.
Ci sentiamo presto,
Ciao.
Ciao and thanks for the update regarding the new software update coming up. I will certainly wait for it and use it for further testing.
Is there a way to export my current schedule configuration and load it after the upgrade instead of tediously changing all the default settings it once again?
As an update, I did create a new schedule as per your suggestion but after rewiring GPIO5 (to open solenoid #1 with relay port #1) to GPIO27 (to open solenoid #1 through relay port #6), the ON signal was missing. Is this supposed to be the correct rewiring? I returned the wiring to the original configuration and surprisingly I think I noticed the grass was watered this morning. I'll verify this within a day or two...
I didn't save a log file at this point - I'll do it after the verification if still a problem.
In addition to the Advanced web page (for editing program schedules) is loading very slowly - almost a minute.
Thanks as usual!
Ciao,
Thanks for the quick reply!
Yes, I noted the issue with a zero multiplier just after sending the note. All multipliers were set to zero yet all work other than the one I noted. I removed the name with the underscore but the problem still persists.
And added a multiplier of 1 to all schedules, still no success.
Grazie,
Gary.
Ciao, Thanks for the feedback. I'll check the underscore issue, never used names with underscore so it is good to test it. Regarding the other issue seems a little strange but might be related to the previous, anyway the multiplier in your screenshot is zero, can you double check? Thanks
