Hello Mauro, I think you can have a look the Home Assistant configuration, even if this is designed for the home Assistant integration, this is actually sending the sensor data periodically using the MQTT protocol (it sends also some configuration messages but you can ignore that specific topic). The configurationis on the Setting->Home Assistant Integration button.

I've make some different modifications to the SW, unfortunately I do not have anymore the Home Assistant for testing. For testing purpose, If possible, I can send you the two files and you can test them in your setup.

The system can receive the messages in the JSON format. It is important to understand the format of the message you are receiving from the sensor. There are some SW you can use to read the MQTT messages, if you can access the system using the SSH, then you can try with mosquito client. Let's assume the MQTT topic is "325A272640" and the message has the json format as for example {"io2":"124"} then the string to set in the system should be the following: 325A272640//io2 (first part before the // is the topic, after the // are the ison fields) the above are just assumptions. Better if you can provide the Topic and the Message.

Hello, Thanks for the feedback, for the point 1) I was not aware of it, when I have time I'll have a look at it. point 2) I notice the issue when I got a power outage. After some research I understood that the setting made using mqtt are a sort of volatile, so they cannot be stored permanently. Have to say this is quite disappointing, so far I have not found a way to solve the issue.

Your ability to integrate different systems is remarkable. Then the pictures with the Humidity reading over it is the cherry on the top. Well done. You should think about making a video on how you built your system, I think it would be appreciated compared to the quantity of useless video around garden automation that flood youtube nowadays.

Hello, The system Ethernet connection is always enabled, even when you are using the WiFi. The point is that there are two different IP addresses for the Ethernet and the WIFI. The IP address that you can set on the hydrosys interface is relevant only to the WiFI, In case of Ethernet connection you should find it. Assuming that you are connecting the respberry through Ethernet using a home router, it will use the DHCP protocol to assign the IP address to the raspberry and the IP address should be visible in some of the router pages. One you get the IP, you should be able to reach the hydrosys using the web browser and the usual string + port (http://:). In case you have both connections in place WiFi and Ethernet, you can access hydrosys using the WiFI, go to the network page and check the IP addresses, one of them should be the ethernet IP address. Please consider that the IP address provided by the DHCP may change when the ethernet connection is reset, so it is advised to se the router to assign a static IP address based on the MAC (IP address should be different from WiFI IP address). Clearly if you only want to use only Ethernet, you can disable the WiFi, I see you already found the setting.

Hello, I found a solution. After the May 2022, the gmail option to use less secure apps has been removed. With this new security requirement, the hydrosys4 mail message stop working. Anyway there is a different setting on the gmail account that can be used, this make the whole system more secure. In few words, it is required to enable the 2-steps verification, after that it will be possible to create a specific password for the hydrosys4 which will be used instead of the real account password. I don't see big differences in changing from Pull-up to Pull-down. Anyway I'd expected to have a continuous line instead of a graph with spikes. I made several changes to the interrupt function and visualization among the versions, which version are you using?

It is definitely something SW related. Can you try to change the setting of the Activation mode to "second Edge + Level"?

Hello, the temperature in the Home page is the average on the last 24hours there is also the min and max indication. Temperature can be set to the Celsius (C) or Fahrenheit (F) For the real time reading, you can refer to the Setting Page. If the fans are not running maybe there i some issue with the automation setting, if you post the screenshot I'll have a look

Hi Lars, the PIN reading are definitely semi-random, two points: Did you set something on the Interrupt page? Just to be sure there is no misunderstanding PIN 4 indicates the GPIO 4 on the raspberry pinout as below (not the pin position).

Hello, The Ethernet connection does not require particular settings (you can optionally disable the Wifi), but you should be aware of the IP address assigned to the PI from your router. If you access your home router you should be able to see the raspberry PI IP address and use it in the web-browser to access the system. In your home router setting I suggest to make a static IP assignment between the Raspberry MAC address and the IP so that the IP will be kept the same. Let me know, Angelo
