I am looking to implement Hydrosys4 on a 28'x96' greenhouse.
I have been monitoring temp and humidity and taking daily pictures of inside the greenhouse since October, 2019.
I have been noticing that it is very common for the greenhouse to reach 100% relative humidity most nights. Once the sun comes up and the temps rise, relative humidity drops quickly. So, I will be implementing fan control to help monitor RH.
I have 2 larger tanks and I am looking to do some water treatment. I'm curious if Hydrosys4 can do any sort of PH monitoring and PH adjustment? I do see some control for fertilizer, but curious if this could be modified for PH control, as well as to control any doser equipment that could perform an inline nutrient injection to the watering system.
Is there a way to ship any hardware boards to Ontario during this time?
Any thoughts are more than welcome!
Paul
yes, I replied on Tindie.
Thanks Angelo,
Is there a way for you to ship an Irrigation Hat to me here in Ontario, Canada?
I really want to build out a full system with all elements and I'm hoping to do this quickly.
I sent you a note on Tindie but perhaps you can let me know here?
Thanks,
Paul
Hi Paul,
I definitely think that the PH control can be done, anyway I never had the possibility to implement it in practice, so take my words with caution (hope this is the correct way to say in English... ).
The automation function can monitor a parameter and implement an action if the parameter goes too low or too high. The timing and interval of the action can be configured as well as the time interval to evaluate the sensor reading values. Email notification if the parameter is out of range can be set also.
Regarding the two "Dosers" for the PH+ and PH-, you could use two peristaltic pumps. (this also depends on the size of the tank). I made a video about a cheap version of this pump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTJ4aW8X3gQ.
The PH sensor is a little more complicated, I see there are some sensors providing analog output (Atlas scientific) which will be compatible with my system. Here some references: https://hydrosys4.wixsite.com/hydrosys4forum/forum/hardware-discussion/overview-of-connections .
The PH sensor requires to be calibrated, this can be done using the SW, so I do not see issues here.
I can support for the detailed configurations n case you move forward.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Angelo
