I am looking to create a programmable fertilizer doser, with 8 different nutrients. I'm curious how I would add 6 more to the 2 that are already present with the initial setup of Hydrosys4.
Also, while I'd love to build the exact version of the fertigator on the youtube video, I cannot find a water filter housing with a top port to modify with the injector. I'm wondering what people might think of using a 3/4 venturi similar to this one:
I would hook the nutrient input to the injector on the venturi, but then only allow nutrients to pass through when I activate the motor, to allow nutrients to flow for a set period of time/pulse. I wonder if the pump would prevent nutrients from flowing out when the motor is not running? That would be important to allow precise measurement.
All thoughts are welcomed on this approach, or any other approach to create an automated 8 head doser.
Many thanks,
Paul
That system in the link is impressive.
We should open a KickStarter campaign to make it in kits :).
What is more intriguing is that the pump supplier that he mentioned (ETATRON) is here in Rome.
Anyway I did not know that there where pumps called injection pumps...
