Hydrosys4 is connected to Network Wifi
sender Gmail acct has "less secure apps access" turned on
email address to send report to: Sent to different Gmail acct
red email settings filled with credentials for sender Gmail acct.
when I click "send test email" I get "error email not sent"
I downloaded the logs, but the logs showed the same error, without further detail.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the feedback,
Regarding the remote IP address, the system should get your public address and include it in the mail. The system also monitor your public address every 15 minutes, in case the address is changed by your ISP, the system will send a new mail notification with new address, in fact this can be used to avoid the DDNS or static IP.
Anyway you correctly pointed out that when you have DDNS already in place, it would be more convenient to get the DDNS URL in the mail. This is not possible currently, but I think I can add this feature in the next SW releases:
A text filed in the Network page GUI where the user can specify the URL they want to receive in the mail message.
I'll add it in the todo list!
nevermind I figured it out. Under google accts, my first attempt was a "suspscious attempt to log in" after I verified the attempt it works. However, it seems like the link for remote connection has the URL for my current WAN IP. Unfortunately my ISP assigns a dynamic WAN IP. Is there a way to change the URL for the link so that it points to my DDNS host in the URL? thanks!
