Thank you, just saw your reply now: I tried without removing the pins from the relay and got the CO2 sendor working (after enabling UART in the config.text file in root). I get the sensor data in the system now but every approx. 30 seconds the relay board pin gets activated by a short signal. What's the best way of removing those two pins from the board?

Thank you for the explanation. Is it also possible to just to use GPIO14 and GPIO15 while still having relay2 attached? I would still like the rest of the GPIOs connected to the relay board as switches. In Home Assistant I could configure the rest of the GPIOs accordingly (on relay2) and leave GPIO14 and GPIO15 unused. I have the relay2 in use at the moment and would like to keep it this way.

Thank you for coming up with this solution, Angelo. I will probably be able to check if it works in a few months. The setting is a real remote one (more than 200 km away) at my family's house. Currently Covid19 forbids me to travel there but I will let you know when I get to test it.

Hi, yes, I am aware that 1) can be realized with the autowatering setting. I just did it and it worked fine. I just had the pump working for only half the time as usually (I was worried I might would forget about it and overwater the plants). However, below is a former graph (as I have been testing for a few months already). Thats how it should look: 1. Trigger threshold can be around 25-30% moisture. 2. Pump activation was 6 min in total (360 seconds) - I was mistaken in my first post. 3. Valve actuation was 600seconds (2x) ca. 15 min after step 2. Then you see a nice slow increase in moisture level to 55%.

I am also looking for another board and will wait until Angelo puts some new ones in his shop. I believe there is some uncertainty on shipment and suppliers involved on his side. We will need to be patient.

This is an excellent idea. When I showed one of your greenhouse videos to my girlfriend to present her what I am up to, she only responded "but it doesnt look nice with all the cabling!" With MGTT support the integration of bluetooth sensors like the "Royal Gardineer" would be feasible. Hence, it would allow to obtain soil humidity, light intensity, temperature and soil fertility (I honestly don't know how this thing measures it but OK) wireless. The sensors are not cheap in Europe but it is also an option to buy them on Alibaba for around 12$. I bought one of them a couple of weeks ago and it works really well with the an app that come along with it ("Flower Care"). However, I wouldn't know how to integrate it into your system for now. The wireless approach certainly broadens the application field of your system to interior applications - like for normal pots indoors or similar. Thanks, Thomas
